Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs Possibly Launching By Halloween
Everyone remembers the widely popular PC Horror game named “Amnesia”. Well, if you enjoyed having your pants scared off by that game, get ready for the second installment of it. After some speculation of another Amnesia title coming out it was confirmed through an article on JoyStiq today by Dear Esther and Frictional Games.
What we know right now is that the game will be developed by Dear Esther’s TheChineseRoom and will be produced by Frictional Games. The release date for this game is NOT set in stone but the two teams are hoping for a launch sometime before Halloween. This game is also not a direct sequel as stated by Dear Esther’s Writer Dan Pinchbeck.
“It’s not a direct sequel, in terms of it doesn’t follow on from the story of Amnesia. It doesn’t involve the same characters,”
The game will be set in 1899 and follows a wealthy industrialist named Oswald Mandus, who returned home from an expedition to Mexico that didn’t go well and ended in tragedy. He is struck by a destructive fever in which while he’s sleep he is haunted by a dark machine until he mysteriously regains consciousness. Months passed but unknown to the tycoon, he emerges from his slumber to the sound of a roaring engine of a mysterious machine that has sputtered to life.
