Everybody loves the new Gears of War 2 game that came out this month. It was praised by many reviewers and played more than Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4 on xbox live for a week. But every good game has a really moment…Gears of War had the chainsaw glitch, Gears of War 2 has the #2 thing that makes you say “Really?”.

There has been many times you’ve used this weapon on Gears of War 2, and for many people, its possibly screwed them out of a kill while up close and personal with an enemy. Here’s an example, Me and a couple of guys were playing online one night, and I happen to be close to someone with this beaut. Usually, it would take 1 shot when you’re close to someone, well, It took 1 shot…..to Kill me. and to that…I say Really?

Last year, the New England Patriots tried the complete perfect season last year when they went 16-0 in the regular season, but fell short of the ultimate perfect season when they lost to the New York Giants in the Superbowl. Fast forward to this season where the Titans went on a 10-0 run before the New York Jets beat them 34-13 this week. It seem as if the Titans could actually do it, they had the team it seemed to do it. Vince Young at QB, the mobile unit of the team combined with Chris Johnsons speed. They started relying on the Pass game more than running and won games. They, like others, will not taste the sweet nectar that is the 19-0 Season, and the 72 Dolphins can pop the champainge and celebrate another year of living in perfectville.

Just nearly 15-30 Minutes ago, the Halo 3 Championships took place and a champion was crowned. MLG or Major League Gaming have seen a lot of teams enter the ranks but there can only be 1 champion, Str8 Rippin was that champion tonight after a 6-3 win over Instinct. This was a very intense match between these guys with a lot of twist and turns and we saw a winner prevail. Congrats to Str8 Rippin and continue doing what you do on the pro circuit, kicking ass and taking names.

Now, I knew something like this would happen sooner or later, because game developers like to give a little something out at first then release to the public. Atleast some do, in this case, a lot of people who bought the limited edition just for that Golden Lancer to use in game during an intense Gears of War 2 match on Xbox Live, now they feel like idiots. Its okay, the Golden Hammerburst is next. I feel the pain of many, because these guys who had the Golden Lancer before this were like “Yaaaaay we have something you cheap bastards will never have! *geeky laugh*” , Then they release this awesome piece of online equipment to the public. On the flip side of this, i’m excited, but this should have been kept as an exclusive for the guys who paid their extra money on getting the LE edition. Like I said though, this was bound to happen so it doesn’t shock me that I wake up today and someone links me to a free lancer, WITH GOLD!

There are few times I feel like I should rant about something, then, I looked back to the Steelers game this past Sunday. If you didn’t see the game, it ended with a historic score of 11-10 giving the Steelers there lowest score margin this season and this being the first time in MANY years that there has been a 11-10 score in the NFL. Here is where this wouldn’t have happened, San Diego did some trick play where they continuously lateralled the ball to each other until Strong Safety Troy Polamalu had enough of it and disrupted one of the passes, causing a fumble and taking it back for a TD. The score would have been 18-10 Steelers win…but no, after a review…nooo…After a Referee Meeting, They called back the ruling that it was a TD because of an “Illegal Forward Pass”.

I saw the highlights, and not once did I see an illegal FORWARD pass. NFL Refs these days are in need of a vision plan, because they fuck up more calls than NBA Refs do during the NBA Playoffs. I know your saying “Norm that’s harsh” but its TRUE. Tell me the last time you didn’t see a Referee in the NFL fuck up big time…don’t worry, I’ll wait……….Actually I can’t wait cause I have to finish this post, but I’ll take you back to early this season in San Diego. Its Broncos vs Chargers, and there was a certain play that was blown dead that should have been a Fumble. Broncos get another chance and they win the game. Last season alone, the NFL Officianating was bad to the point it cost two teams advancement into the playoffs.

During the offseason, these problems were suppose to be fixed. The Referees have their own type of practice during Training Camps, and yet, this season, they still can’t seem to get it right. I guess its time to sit back and watch another week of football where a ref will eventually fuck up a game because he possibly put a wager down for that team to win…its rediculous.
