Why NBOS has been inactive.

Posted by Norman Rhodes On September - 10 - 2009

Hey Guys and gals, recently you’ve probably noticed that the blog has been at a standstill. Reason why is because of my new position with Nerdiest-Kids.com, now this is no excuse to stop posting here, cause I love the freedom of saying  whats on my mind without the restrictions of keeping up an image. Not to knock NK, cause the site is awesome, and I love the opportunity of getting my opinion out there, but one “wrong” thing said and the general site gets scrutinized for it. That’s a story for a different time though, news and opinion blogs will start back soon, just trying to get in the grove of things then we’ll see what happens. So far its been awesome, working with guys who are on top of their shit and not pussyfooting around. But yeah, i’ll get back to posting soon before this post turns into a rant article haha.

See you on the flip side

This Saturday Is Independence Day, What are you doing?

Posted by Norman Rhodes On July - 1 - 2009

So I thought I would start off this month with a question about the 4th of July, where everyone is cooking out and having fun with family. So what will YOU be doing this 4th?

I myself will probably cook-out, shoot off some fireworks and if I have time watch the display from the mall on my T.V.

Skyfire…wait…FIRE IN THE SKY!?

Posted by Norman Rhodes On March - 3 - 2009

I’m sure with all these web browsers out for PC you really don’t look towards the mobile phone market for variety. Today I give you a new browser for your Windows Mobile phone that kicks all kinds of ass and makes the IE browser a thing of the past. The name of it is Skyfire, currently its in beta for Windows Mobile Phones and two Nokia Phones. This is a FREE download and takes the experience of using a browser on your PC and brings it to your phone. Not just looking at silly mobile versions of websites, but looking at a full website, on your phone. It comes with Flash installed with it, but heres one of the downsides to it. When I tried to test it out on a site like stickam, where it uses flash even for the chat. I couldn’t type anything. Everything else ran fine though. It lets you link your Twitter and Facebook accounts to the homepage and lets you see those updates from twitter. I would like to see a bit more out of that feature, like letting me update from the homepage. One last thing about this browser, its load times are pretty good on heavy sites. It didn’t take too long for a page to load or for a transition from one page to the next to happen. Overall, I like the potential this Browser has compared to this boring ass Internet Explorer on my phone, and look to use it a lot more.

If you’re tired of IE, Switch to Skyfire and enjoy seeing the internet on your phone!

Breaking News: Hayesworth No Longer FA at Open of FA

Posted by Norman Rhodes On February - 27 - 2009

In the wee hours of the morning, Haynesworth was on a jet to Washington to seal a deal that officially makes him a Washington Redskin for 100mil over 7 years and 45mil guaranteed over three years. This also comes on the heels of Deangelo Hall signing a 6 year deal with the skins worth 54mil.

In Other news as Free Agency kicks off, The Patriots sign Running Back Fred Taylor and Tight End Chris Baker. Fred Taylor was looking between Buffalo and New England and finally signed with the Patriots this morning. Former Tight End of the New York Jets, Chris Baker, signed with the Patriots as well.

Free Agency is just kicking off, and I personally can’t wait to see who else gets signed.
