Today a tragedy has happened, two Red Line Metro trains collided with each other between the Fort Totten and Takoma Stations. 4 people have been confirmed dead while many others are being treated for critical and minor injuries. Being that I live in the Washington D.C. this hits home a bit more for me than other who don’t live within Maryland, Virginia and D.C. This is a sad day for those who’ve lost loved ones and my heart and thoughts go out to them. Right now, Train service is limited from Glenmont to Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Stations and from Shady Grove and Silver Spring stations. Also they are investigating this a homicide situation though it may not be. More news is developing as I type this and to keep up with it, watch the twitters and the www.wmata.com site for more info.
