Comic-Con 2012: Hands On Impressions – Hitman Absolution
Another game on display at Comic-Con was the newest Hitman game. While I was working at GameStop I remember being hyped for this game before anyone else in my location was. Well, finally playing Hitman at Comic-Con solidified my excitement! The same demo some of you might have seen from E3, was the same demo we got to play at Comic-Con along with the Sniper Challenge. The game looks like its going to pack a big punch and give long time fans of the Hitman series a nice long massage while they subdue enemies, take their clothes and walk around like nothing happened. While stealth remains a big part of the game, they’ve thrown in the option for action. Yeah, you can run around a level just shooting stuff up and bring attention to yourself instead of playing it smart and staying quiet. In the level from E3 we played, we had to take out a target. We were given many ways to do it and could choose any one of those. It ranges from sniping the target, to poisoning his food. Of course I chose to stay classic Agent 47 and take the stealthy way out, but then I slipped up and died.
The game looks great and the technology in the game used to move through a crowded street works like a charm. It made me wish throughout Comic-Con I could do that to everyone in my way without getting into a brawl. This game WILL be a must have for Hitman fans and everyone when it comes out November 20th.
