Nintendo has officially made it known that the 3DS is getting a pretty hefty price cut establishing the new price as $169.99 in the U.S beginning August 12, 2011. What this means for people who already own a 3DS is that you will be rewarded with 10 free Virtual Console NES plus 10 free Gameboy Advance games. In order to receive these wonderful gifts you have to connect to the Nintendo eShop BEFORE the price cut date. Only after that will you be registered in the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador program. Ambassadors are getting the NES titles for free in comparison to those of you who don’t sign up for the program, you will have to pay for them at a later date. Now for the GBA titles, these are NOT planned to be released to the general public so if you want them don’t forget to sign up for the program!
