The Kamikaze of NFL Transactions in the AFC
With the lockout just ending somewhere around a week ago, this NFL off-season is heading towards being one of the most memorable. You’ve got people being cut, free agents being signed, and trades happening all within a week.
This article will just cover the big signings and trades in the AFC. I’ll start with the New England Patriots who gained an above average wide receiver and a brick wall of a man.
New England Patriots:

Traded undisclosed draft picks for WR Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson
Traded undisclosed draft picks for DT Albert Haynesworth

Baltimore Ravens:
FB Vonta Leach signed to a three-year contract
Buffalo Bills:
QB Tyler Thigpen signed to a three-year contract
WR/ Return Specialist Brad Smith signed to a four-year contract (He will possibly be playing QB too)
MLB Nick Barnett signed to a three-year contract
Cincinnati Bengals:
Sign CB Nate Clements
Cleveland Browns:
RB Brandon Jackson signed to a two-year contract
Trade fifth round draft pick to Eagles for DT Brodrick Bunkley
Sign FS Usama Young
Denver Broncos:
RB Willis McGahee signed to a four-year contract

Houston Texans:
CB Johnathan Joseph signed to a five-year contract
Indianapolis Colts:
Sign QB Dan Orlovsky
QB Nate Davis signed to a two-year contract
Jacksonville Jaguars:
LB Paul Posluszny signed to a six-year contract
LB Clint Session signed to a five-year contract
Also signed 24 undrafted free agents
Kansas City Chiefs:
WR Steve Breaston signed to a five-year contract
DT Kelly Gregg signed to a one-year contract
Miami Dolphins:
Trade S Johnathan Amaya and draft pick to Saints for RB Reggie Bush
QB Matt Moore signed to a two-year contract
New York Jets:
WR Plaxico Burress signed to a one-year deal

Oakland Raiders:
Sign QB Trent Edwards
Pittsburgh Steelers:
No big name signings or trades
San Diego Chargers:
SS Bob Sanders signed to a one-year contract
LB Takeo Spikes signed to a three-year contract
Tennessee Titans:
TE Daniel Graham signed to a three-year contract
LB Barrett Ruud signed to a one-year contract
Sign DT Shaun Smith
Sign QB Matt Hasselbeck
