The Kamikaze of NFL Transactions in the AFC

The Kamikaze of NFL Transactions in the AFC

With the lockout just ending somewhere around a week ago, this NFL off-season is heading towards being one of the most memorable. You’ve got people being cut, free agents being signed, and trades happening all within a week.
This article will just cover the big signings and trades in the AFC. I’ll start with the New England Patriots who gained an above average wide receiver and a brick wall of a man.
New England Patriots:

Traded undisclosed draft picks for WR Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson
Traded undisclosed draft picks for DT Albert Haynesworth

Now for the rest of the AFC

Baltimore Ravens:

FB Vonta Leach signed to a three-year contract

Buffalo Bills:

QB Tyler Thigpen signed to a three-year contract
WR/ Return Specialist Brad Smith signed to a four-year contract (He will possibly be playing QB too)
MLB Nick Barnett signed to a three-year contract

Cincinnati Bengals:

Sign CB Nate Clements

Cleveland Browns:

RB Brandon Jackson signed to a two-year contract
Trade fifth round draft pick to Eagles for DT Brodrick Bunkley
Sign FS Usama Young

Denver Broncos:

RB Willis McGahee signed to a four-year contract

Houston Texans:

CB Johnathan Joseph signed to a five-year contract

Indianapolis Colts:

Sign QB Dan Orlovsky
QB Nate Davis signed to a two-year contract

Jacksonville Jaguars:

LB Paul Posluszny signed to a six-year contract
LB Clint Session signed to a five-year contract
Also signed 24 undrafted free agents

Kansas City Chiefs:

WR Steve Breaston signed to a five-year contract
DT Kelly Gregg signed to a one-year contract

Miami Dolphins:

Trade S Johnathan Amaya and draft pick to Saints for RB Reggie Bush
QB Matt Moore signed to a two-year contract

New York Jets:

WR Plaxico Burress signed to a one-year deal

Oakland Raiders:

Sign QB Trent Edwards

Pittsburgh Steelers:

No big name signings or trades

San Diego Chargers:

SS Bob Sanders signed to a one-year contract
LB Takeo Spikes signed to a three-year contract

Tennessee Titans:

TE Daniel Graham signed to a three-year contract
LB Barrett Ruud signed to a one-year contract
Sign DT Shaun Smith
Sign QB Matt Hasselbeck

That is the main AFC transaction round-up and for the NFC transactions you will have to wait until tomorrow. The free agency period is not done yet so this could be updated.
