Netflix is about to get some competition when it comes to Physical and Digital Media by a pair of companies who are well versed in their fields. Verizon and Redbox are teaming up to create a new service that they say will bring the best of both worlds. A service that offers Digital streaming and Physical media and is code-named “Project Zoetrope”. It will offer Blu-Ray, DVD’s and Streaming On-Demand plus Downloadable Content. This service will launch in the second half of this year, and multi-platform support is mentioned in the press release.
